SGL FlashNet's FCS integration provides easy archive management of all Final Cut Server assets, projects and productions. After a simple, automated configuration process, the SGL FlashNet-controlled archive is available to Final Cut users directly from within the FCS interface. Users can choose whether to move (archive) or copy (backup) content to disk or tape, utilising FlashNet's comprehensive grouping strategies to logically store material based on its attributes. Archives can be configured as single or multiple disk and/or tape storage devices. When an asset has been archived, it is marked with an 'archived' icon in the FCS interface, allowing users to see at a glance the status of their assets.
All Final Cut Server items - assets, projects and production - can be archived quickly, easily and efficiently. When a project or production is sent to archive, all components of the project or production are automatically included. Locating and restoring archived content is simple. With SGL FlashNet's FCS integration, all archived items are included in a standard FCS search; users can search for items both online and in the archive. In addition, searches can be filtered to search for online or archived items only. SGL FlashNet provides comprehensive error logging and feedback to constantly monitor and report on the status of your assets and archive or restore processes.
