At NAB 2010 SGL will demonstrate its Open System architecture, highlighting the substantial cost and workflow benefits that SGL's fully accessible systems provide. SGL will show its seamless integration with Interplay 2.1, Avid's production asset management system. The company will highlight its support for the latest version of Apple's Final Cut Server (FCS), and will also demonstrate its client-based web tool FlashBrowse II. As the leading broadcast archive provider, SGL is supporting LTO-5, the latest data tape generation from the Ultrium LTO Consortium, capable of holding 70 hours of material at 50Mbs, and will unveil further details at the show.
These demonstrations emphasise SGL's Open System architecture and its key philosophies of providing reliable, scalable solutions that represent high ROI and low cost of ownership.
Worldwide debut: Qualified Archiving for Avid Interplay 2.1: Following comprehensive development and QA testing between SGL and Avid, SGL will demonstrate its support for Interplay 2.1, the latest release of Avid's production asset management system. SGL FlashNet is still the only 3rd party archive management software which has been through the full Avid development and QA cycle and is available directly from Avid worldwide. SGL booth N1520 is the only place to see a full end-to-end working Avid Interplay Archive system at NAB2010.
US debut: Final Cut Server integration: SGL's latest offering is fully-integrated archiving for Apple's Final Cut Server, which allows users to archive, search and restore their assets, projects and productions directly from the FCS interface. By adding the SGL FlashNet archive solution to the Final Cut Server environment, SGL will demonstrate how production facilities and broadcasters can significantly improve and speed up their workflows.
Also demonstrating: FlashBrowse II: SGL will show visitors to NAB 2010 the powerful attributes of its client-based web tool, which allows FlashNet users to capture simple metadata and archive and restore media from many different forms of archive. Web browser-based, FlashBrowse II can be used on any platform - Mac, PC or Linux.
