SGL strengthens Asia Pac presence and celebrates opening of Singapore office
Software Generation Ltd (SGL), a leading provider of content archive and storage management software for media and entertainment, has today celebrated the opening of its Asia Pacific office. Based in SOHO2 @ CENTRAL, Singapore, the new office was officially opened by Guest of Honour Mr Seto Lok Yin, Assistant Chief Executive Officer (Industry), Singapore Media Development Authority (MDA). This is a landmark occasion for SGL; the company also celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
Industry veteran Donald Li, who has been appointed as Sales Director, Asia Pacific, heads the new facility, which provides sales and support services across the region. With over 30 year's industry experience, Li has held key roles with companies including Thomson Asia Pacific, Grass Valley, Tektronix and Robert Bosch.
Technical support is provided by Ryan Lim, SGL's Regional Support Engineer who joined the company in 2008. Lim has worked in the broadcast sector for a number of years most recently with Techtel, based in Southeast Asia. William Tay, who has been with SGL since 2007, holds the position of Regional Operations Manager.
Bernie Walsh, SGL's Director Worldwide Sales & Joint Managing Director says, "This is a major milestone in SGL's 20 year history and we are very proud that Mr Seto could join us in celebrating this occasion.
